Our Nouveau course provides a basic foundation for wine education.  It is perfect for individuals who would like to enhance their appreciation of wine.  This course provides a solid core of wine knowledge that would be beneficial to those in the industry.

Cotes de Burgh's Nouveau course is a six week course.  Each class runs two hours: a one hour presentation with one hour for tasting and discussion.

Wine Education Tour:

Week one:  Wine terminology, components, tasting techniques, sparkling wines

Week two:  California, Oregon and Washington

Week Three:  Chile, Argentina, Australia and New Zealand

Week Four:  Spain, Portugal, and Germany

Week Five:  France

Week Six:  Italy


Class Order:

The order was selected to build a solid foundation.  Week one will give you the basic tools to help you with the remaining classes.  Weeks two and three are "New World" and more familiar areas.  By week four you will have the knowledge and confidence to start tackling the "Old World" countries.  The last two weeks you will be ready for arguably the greatest two wine producing countries in the world.
